The assault caused the temporary closure of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of people hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
